welcomed a diverse and knowledgeable group of audit, risk and
controllers from multinational corporations. Truly a global event, the
forum attracted particpants from Western Europe (including Benelux,
Switzerland, Scandinavia, Italy and Portugal), Central & Eastern
Europe (including Czech Republic, Poland and Ukraine), North Africa,
Brazil as well as the United States. The chairman of day one, Cees
Klumper, expertly moderated the presentations and delivered the keynote
address. Koen Albers, who represented the Belgian chapter of the ACFE,
chaired day two, which featured an interactive discussion on Fraud
programmes and the challenges of preventing and detecting fraud
particularly in emerging markets. Feedback for the event was very
positive; both participants and staff at Thought Leader Global eagerly
anticipate the next audit event, planned for April 2010.
